My name is Nicole Gough. I live in Bonavista, NL and teach at Catalina Elementary School in Catalina, NL. I am curently working toward my Masters in Education - Information Technology with MUN and CBU.
I am married with a 10 1/2 month old and a 9 year old step son. Life is certainly busy but it is definitely worth it!
what johnny means that every one is getting treated realy bad for example a bad world to johnny would be the socs and ther greasers fighting all the time, this is what he means.
When Pony makes that statement he means that the people will never suspect the socs to commit a crime and they always think that the greasers do the crime. they only do this because of the way they look. it says in the book that the socs were dressed up nice enough to go to the movies when they went to the rumble. That’s why the greasers get blamed for everything, because of the way they look.

The greasers look tough and go around with their hair greased and people would say that they would do the stealing and mugging but the little pretty boy socs do most of the bad things. People think just because they are rich and have cool cars that they won't want to commit these crimes but they do for fun. In the real world there are lots of stereotypes.

When Pony asks what kind of world it is he means that people judge others by their appearence, without even getting to know them. Nobody would ever expect a Soc all dressed up and sharp to be boozed up and addicted to drinking.He means that it is a hateful world where people care for themselves, their rights, their well being.
22: When pony asks “what kind of a world it is” the comment he is making about how society judges people is how the strangers look at the greaser and think their hoods because their hair is greasy and they dress in old torn up clothes when some are good people. Then the strangers look at the socs and think they are good people because they drive mustangs, wear Mazda shirts and have clean, cut hair when really most socs are mean people.
When Johnny says that, what he means is that, people in the city he lives in gets judged for everything. They think that the greasers are the ones that does everything bad just by they way they look. Just beacause there hair is greasey and they were the same clothes all the time doesen't mean anything. Most of the time it is the socs that does it, and only for fun. They do it because they know that they won't get the blame. Because they are rich and inasent. The grreasers well get the blame.
