My name is Nicole Gough. I live in Bonavista, NL and teach at Catalina Elementary School in Catalina, NL. I am curently working toward my Masters in Education - Information Technology with MUN and CBU.
I am married with a 10 1/2 month old and a 9 year old step son. Life is certainly busy but it is definitely worth it!
I think that johnny means when he says 'stay golden' i think he means, dont go cold; stay nice, smart. Dont be come cruel and keep goin even when he dies.
Johnny’s last words to ponnyboy “ stay golden” I think that means that he don’t want them to go around fighting anymore and he wants them to make peace with the socs, for all of them to help each other out and to be nice to people.

I think Johnny also means , no matter what happenes johnny will always be there with Ponyboy through the bad and good and the hardest times in life, and don't let anyone bring you down.
I think that Johnny's last words to Pony mean this... He's telling Pobny to do what he wants and to be a greaser if he wants. He wants greasers to be on top and he doesn't want him to get hurt. He wants Pony top stay healthy and keep living his life.
