My name is Nicole Gough. I live in Bonavista, NL and teach at Catalina Elementary School in Catalina, NL. I am curently working toward my Masters in Education - Information Technology with MUN and CBU.
I am married with a 10 1/2 month old and a 9 year old step son. Life is certainly busy but it is definitely worth it!
I think that when ponyboy says that Johnny had nothing to do with Bob's killing he is in denial that Johnny is dead. Also when he says this he has a concussion and isn't thinking straight, another reason for this is that he had a lot of blood loss also because when the soc kicked him 9n the rumble he got a cut by his temple.
I think I think that when Ponyboy says “Johnny didn't have anything to do with Bob's getting killed" he was in denial and he had a concussion. He was not thinking straight because he was sick. He had a lot of blood loss and the Soc kicked him in the head.
I think ponyboy is just trying to forget what happened, so he wont feel the pain ofeverythign happing; like dallas getting shot, johnny dieing, and all this at once.
When Ponyboy says that Johnny didn't have nothing to do with Bod's killing , Ponyboy is lieing to himself, and hes beliveing it , he is trying to forget about Johnny's death and he is trying to believe that Johnny is still alive, and even though Ponyboy wwas at the hospital right next to the bed when Johnny when he died, Pony boy still lies to himself and says that Johnny is still alive adn he his telling himself that he killed Bob not Johnny.
When Ponyboy says “Johnny didn’t have anything to do with Bobs getting killed” he is trying to block out the thought of Johnny dead, and he was in a concussion for 3 or 4 days , so he couldn’t think straight.
I think that ponyboy belives that it was all his fault and all because if he never ran away form home and got johnny to help him live and to help take care of him while he is still gone and also he might want to forget johnnys deth...
I think that when it says ... "Johnny didnt have anything to do with Bob getting killed" Ponyboy feels really bad because it is kinda his fault why Bob was killed. It was Ponbys fault because Johnny was only tring to protect Ponyboy, he really didnt mean to kill anyone. And ponyboy is lying to himself that Johnny didnt do, but really he did. And Ponyboy is sad that Johnny is gone too, and that he is never going to come back.. :(
I think that ponyboy means that it was not johnnys fault because johnny was sick and tired of getting picked on by the socs so he killed bob by a reactionbecause he was sick of them.
When Pony says "Johnny had nothing to do with Bob's killing" he means that Johnny stabbed Bob the soc because He was drowning Pony. Pony says its his fault because Johnny killed someone for his safety because Pony was being hurt.
I think it means when Ponyoy says that he is trying to make himself feel that Johnny never died, and that none of that even happened. Also because he might not be thinking straight after he had that concussion he might not remember all of what he had done.
I think that when Ponyboy says that jonny had nothing to do with Bob's killing because he had a concussion and he wasn't thinking right. At the same time Jonny and Dally was dieing very fast and Pony was under so much pressure. He didn't want Jonny to be critized because what is happening to him.
