My name is Nicole Gough. I live in Bonavista, NL and teach at Catalina Elementary School in Catalina, NL. I am curently working toward my Masters in Education - Information Technology with MUN and CBU.
I am married with a 10 1/2 month old and a 9 year old step son. Life is certainly busy but it is definitely worth it!
To Pony it is better to see socs as "just guys" because he wants socs and greasers to get along and he wants socs to be normal, not to go around being cool and fighting everyone. He wants the two groups to get along so they don't have to fight and so no one dies from this activity again. He is sick and he doesn't want to fight in the rumble. Johnathan
I think pony saw this about the Socs because they were the same as he was. They were all humans, they all has the same problems. Every one of them can die, they all can get sick. Every one of them had some rough part in their lives. Ponyboy just thought it’d be easier on them to just call them regular guys.
I think that he said that because socs and greasers are just people, but they've been categrizes because of their money and everything. Also because he is nice.
Ponyboy thinks it’s was better to see socs as "just guys" because the socs are the same as the greasers and they all have the same problem as the greasers, he means this because maybe he wants the socs and the greasers to get along for no one would get jumped again.
I think pony boy calls the socs just normal guys because they go through the same thing as him and also because he wants the two gangs to get along and stop fighting.

I think that Pony meant that it’s better to see socs as regular people because they’re not all cold hearted people like some of them are. Most of the time their drunk when they do the stupid things that they do. Also the one that Pony talked to was really nice and caring. He was only a soc because he was rich. His name was Randy. Bob was his best friend and he goes on to tell us that all Bob wanted was for somebody to say no and give him a bit of discipline.

Ponyboy means that the greasers and the socs are people and the only thing different is the socs have madras shirts and cool cars...
