My name is Nicole Gough. I live in Bonavista, NL and teach at Catalina Elementary School in Catalina, NL. I am curently working toward my Masters in Education - Information Technology with MUN and CBU.
I am married with a 10 1/2 month old and a 9 year old step son. Life is certainly busy but it is definitely worth it!
My definition of a hero, is someone that people looks up to. Someone that does good things. a hero don't actually need to save someone to be a hero. Yes, I think they are a hero, because Johnny, and PonyBoy nearly gave up there lives to save the little kids in the burning church. We don't know yet if Johnny and Dally die yet. Dally also went in there to help PonyBoy and Johnny out because they couldn't see anything, they couldn't find there way out.
My definition of a hero is a person that can be trusted by their friends and someone that possibly helps others like when the three boys helped out those kids in the church thay are heros because they helped out others when in desperate need yes I think these boys are heros because they done something very outstanding to help those young kisd when in need and that was brave to go in a burning building...
My defiention of hero is someone who is brave and risks there own life for someone eles. Yes I do because they risk there own life to save the people that could of died in the fire if they never saved them.
14: A hero in my definition is someone who does something good that can help someone else. The three boys prove to be a hero in my definition because they saved the lives of a lot of kids and Dally saved Johnny from burning to death inside the church while trying to save the kids.
In a way johnny and Ponyboy does prove to be heros because they sove all the little kids in the burring church. A hero in my eyes is someone who does something for another person who changes there life for the best or if they had to save there life, But jonny did kill a guy but it was to pertect there selves from being killed but that wouldnt be considered a hero in somepeoples eyes but maybe to ponyboy who johnny sove from being killed.
My definition of a hero... Is a brave person who stands out in a crowd or does something heroic that everyone will praise them for. Heroes don't do something to look cool they do things because they have to be done to help somebody else. Yes the three boys are heroes according to my definition because during the day of the burning church Pony-boy and Johnny chose to enter the burning building to save the kids. Dally and the other soc was telling them to leave the blasting kids and let them burn but the boys couldn't stand letting that happen.

I think these are some good things in the book that proves there is a hero and thats what I think a hero is.
The deffination of a hero is someone who helps other people even thought they dotn have to, yes johnny, ponyboy and dallas are heros because johnny and phonyboy risked their lives to save those little kids. and dallas risked his life to go back in for johnny and save him. Yes, they are heros.

My definition of a hero is someone who is unselfish enough to put their own lives in danger to save someone else’s. Yes the three boys do fit my definition of a hero. Johnny and Ponyboy risked their lives to go into that burning church and save those little kids. Then Dally went in and saved Johnny after the big piece of wood fell on him. They all could have died from that incident and they knew it too but they went in anyway.
My definition of a hero is someone that you look up too and trust. But a hero can be anyone you want. It doesn’t have to be someone you know or someone you never even spoken too. Yes I think that the three boys consider themselves as heroes because Jonny and Ponyboy saved eight kids in a church that was on fire risking their lives for them. Jonny saved Ponyboy from being drowned to death by one of the Soc’s gang member Bob. Dally helped Ponyboy and Jonny get out of trouble by running away from the cops to a hideout.

A hero doesn't always have to save someones life, a hero can just be a normal person who likes to help out around there community. Yes, I think Johnny and Ponyboy are heros because they risked their lifes to save children, they went into a burning church and Ponyboy got out of the only a couple burning and cuts, but Johnny got burned badly and broke his back.
