My name is Nicole Gough. I live in Bonavista, NL and teach at Catalina Elementary School in Catalina, NL. I am curently working toward my Masters in Education - Information Technology with MUN and CBU.
I am married with a 10 1/2 month old and a 9 year old step son. Life is certainly busy but it is definitely worth it!
In the chapter dallas Winston showed some different sides of him that I never seen before in my life and I am very surprised of it the different sides that he shown were brave and heroic because he riskes badly burning his arm to put out the fire on ponyboys back...
15: The other side of Dallas that is revealed in this chapter is the side that cares about other people. I know because he said “Johnny you get hardened in jail. I don’t want that to happen to you. Like it happened to me.”
The other side of Dally that was revealed in this chapter was his act of being a hero. He doesn't really care about anyone else but himself and he just glides through the day. He would fight you if you crossed him but he doesn't show that he helps anyone. Dallas risked his life to go make sure that Johnny got out of the Church when the roof caved in because he knew that was the moment to step in and take action. Johnathan
The 'other' side of dallas that appeared in this chapter is that he is a good person inside. He didnt want johnny and ponyboy to turn themselves in because he cares about them. And dont want them to go to jail or get hurt.
In this chapter Dally showed a diffreent side of him self he showed that he is realy careing for people in gang especially johnny and ponyboy he cared for them because he took them out of a burning building this is a side i thaught that dallis winston didnt have any other side.
Dalles's other side that was revealeed in this chapter is kind and helpful because he helped phonboy with his burring jaket and also with getting the school kids out of the burring church in time .This surprized me becuse usually Dalles is all cool and acts like he doesnt really care for things that are going on around him.
The other side of Dallas is that he can be caring unlike most people thought he could be. The book makes it sound like Dally is always selfish and never cares about anyone but himself. Obviously I was wrong, who knew Dally could actually care about someone other than himself. I never expected Dally to go in after Johnny like that. Now I see why Johnny looks up to him. Dally can be tough when he wants to but he can be sensitive too.

He didn’t want Jonny and Ponyboy to turn themselves in because he cared about them and what might happen. He also helped Jonny and Ponyboy save the eight kids when the church roof collapsed.

He really doesnt care about anyone else, he only cares about himself. He was a real hero to the kids and Johnny and Ponyboy.
